More and more people are short-sighted. This does not mean foresight - but more people have eye problems. There are several studies from all over the world indicating numbers and reasons. I love the pun!
One of the major reasons seems to be the wrong calibration of the eye during teenager times, when the eye is growing but it is not calibrated on seeing far objects but only small screens (mobile phones).
