My extensive experience in horizon scanning stems from having worked in a number of foresight projects at both European level (e.g. Foresight on Demand projects on the future of food, retail, ecosystems) and at national level (smart specialization domains, among others). Between 2019 and 2023 I coordinated a team of evaluators engaged in assessing weak signals from a larger pool of news articles selected using machine learning algorithms. I also worked on developing semantic dictionaries used, for example, for clustering pools of weak signals or for tagging content and contributed to the implementation of a number of Dynamic Argumentative Delphi consultations, from curating and preparing content for import on the consultation platform, to testing platform functionalities and improving user experience in collaboration with the platform developer.
